Hi, I'm Aehtesham.

I studied machines, then ended up building for people.

I graduated in mechanical engineering from RUET and taught myself to code along the way. Today the AI tools I build help 3,000+ IELTS candidates in 50+ countries prepare for the test that decides their next move, and help kids in Bangladesh learn science with a tutor that never runs out of patience.

The short version

Gears in the classroom, code after midnight.

I got into RUET to study mechanical engineering. Somewhere between thermodynamics problem sets, I started building small websites at night, mostly to see if I could. Then people started using them.

In 2024 I took my first developer job at Beyond Softwares in Khulna, still a full-time engineering student. By 2025 I was working remotely on AI products used by companies I'll never visit.

Along the way, one thing kept coming up. The best learning tools are usually built for people who already have good teachers, good internet and money to spare. The kid in a village school and the nurse preparing for IELTS after a twelve-hour shift get whatever is left over.

So that's who I build for.

Who it's for

Two products, built for people who usually get left out.

IELTSbiz

3,000+ learners in 50+ countries

The problem

For a lot of people, one IELTS score decides a visa, a university seat, or a nursing licence. Good preparation usually means an expensive tutor, and most free practice tells you nothing beyond “wrong”.

What I built

A practice platform for all four papers. Reading and Listening are scored against answer keys, Writing and Speaking get AI feedback on the official criteria, and every mistake is labelled with the trap behind it. Reading and Listening stay free, and Pro is priced lowest in the countries where most candidates actually sit the test.

Shikhi AI

Built for preteens in Bangladesh

The problem

It started with a question: what if a preteen in rural Bangladesh had a tutor in their pocket, one that never got tired of “why”?

What I built

Short, playful lessons in science, English and maths, with an AI tutor available at any hour for doubts and guided practice. It took months of building, testing with kids, and rewriting what didn't land.

Work & study

Learning on the job, and in the lecture hall.

  1. Sept 2025 – now

    SoftStandard Solutions

    Full-stack developer · Remote

Working on two AI products that real companies rely on every day. On Oppora.ai, a B2B sales automation platform, I build Next.js features, wire in AI services, and turn user bug reports into fixes quickly. On xBolt.ai, an AI calling tool, I own features end to end, from the interface down to the Node.js endpoints.

  2. Jan 2024 – Aug 2025

    Beyond Softwares

    Full-stack developer · Khulna

My first real job, and I took it while still studying engineering. I built VocabSaas, a vocabulary app with flashcards and its own payment flow, and VoiceForVoiceless, a news portal designed so that important stories don't get buried.

  3. Graduated 2025

    RUET

    B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering

Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology. Engineering taught me how to break a big system into parts and test them one at a time, which turned out to be most of software, too.

What I work with: Next.js, React, TypeScript, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, Supabase, Firebase, Docker, Tailwind, Sanity, Stripe, React Native. I also lean on Claude Code, Cursor and Codex daily, and I'm happy to talk about where they help and where they don't.

Side roads

The things I keep coming back to.

Off the screen

My hobbies keep changing. Right now, it’s horse riding.

My hobbies change from time to time. Most often it's learning something new, usually a life skill rather than another screen skill. These days, that's horse riding.

Currently learning: horse riding

Out there

I love exploring new places, especially mountains and waterfalls.

Give me a hill to climb or a waterfall to find, with my close ones around me, and I'm happy. Most of my favourite memories come from trips like these.

What's next

The next chapter is about going deeper into AI.

  1. 01

Go from using AI to understanding it.

Every day I ship products built on top of large language models. Now I want the foundations underneath them: machine learning, how models actually learn, and how to evaluate them honestly instead of trusting a demo.

  2. 02

Make AI a good teacher, not just a fast one.

IELTSbiz taught me that AI feedback can lift someone's band score, and that it can also be confidently wrong. I want to study how to make AI tutoring accurate, fair across accents and backgrounds, and measurable.

  3. 03

Learn abroad, then bring it home.

My users already live in 50+ countries. I want to learn alongside people from just as many, then come back and build AI learning tools in Bangladesh that are world-class and priced for the people who need them most.

Say hello

If any of this resonated, I'd love to hear from you.

Whether it's a project, a study opportunity, a question about IELTSbiz, or just a note after one of my essays, I read and answer every email myself.
